The six piece band started the day packed onto the tiny Van Winkle stage and finished in the minds of everyone who saw them. The purpose of the festival is of course to discover small artists, but with the quality of music it feels like they should've shot to number one from the get go.

The shining star of the set was their most recent song Feel You Close. It's the kind of song that has mass appeal without sacrificing artist merit, which in this day and age is exceptionally rare. The song showcases the stunning blend of front man Cian Ómaonlaí and vocalist/keyboard player Megan Nic Ruairí, in a way that feels strongest out of their entire catalogue.

Listening to the band after the fact, their music is equally as impressive. It's easy to get lost in a live gig when the band is as captivating as this but the music stands the test of streaming. In fact it is maybe more interesting. You can hear the expansiveness of the sound and for the first time in a long time I understand the need for six people in a band.

They're the kind of band worth waiting for, and while they don't seem to have another Glasgow date in the pipeline they'll be on the radar of everyone in that tiny venue for as long as it takes.
