Despite how it may appear Casual Blood Service has been a project in the making for a long time. The brains, voice, and face of the project, Grace, has been making music for years now. Writing Crooked Teeth when she was just 17.

Luckily for us, she's ready to share the art she's been making on a mainstream level. Having released three singles to Spotify this year already, she's set to have an impressive library for us to enjoy.

It's been a process for her to build the confidence. Helped along by studying music in university, and being part of a band.

When you listen to her music it's easy to tell which songs were written years ago (Crooked Teeth and My Secret Friend), and which is new. With the most recent release, Tell me you love me, the themes are a little darker and grown up.

This growing up has been a journey too. Taking the safe space that is music, and moulding it to better reflect where both the art and the artist are now. Despite this change, the original feeling of Casual Blood Service remains strong.

The impressive thing about this project is, despite the anxieties, despite the changes that come with life, there is a clear idea of what Casual Blood Service is. When discussing production, the idea came up that,

"If it feels right, it is right."

We don't think there's a better way to describe art.
