The Native Nations fashion night happened again and this year the theme was 'messengers, protectors & great mysteries.' The show hosted half a dozen designers with backgrounds in various native arts.

Ruby works with native furs, an endangered art. She uses ancestral skills that she describes as something her people used not just to survive, not just to thrive, but to create art and express themselves through their clothing.

Mousseau is the next in a long line of generations creating art in the way she does. She learned her art from the women in her family and draws inspiration from them.

This project is a college funded project that aims to represent relationships, connection to the land, community, spirituality, identity and healing, and sustainability. These are the values most important to native design.
Delina White

White works with the community to empower and create cultural pride within her fashion studio. The studio aims to reclaim indigenous identity using design as the cultural keystone that it is.
